There are fewer and fewer Christian schools in Florida and Tampa specifically.  Yet the formative impact that a Bible-based, Christ-centered education can provide is as powerful as ever.  Since 1964, Cambridge Christian School has worked hard to create an educational atmosphere centered on Biblical teaching that encourages a partnership between the school, parents, and church. This partnership serves as a foundation as we raise up godly people of influence in an increasingly secular world.

CCS has experienced great blessings as it has submitted to God and steadfastly provided a Biblically-based education. Some of these blessings and accomplishments include: enrollment of 641 students, 3-month-old to 12th grade classes, new partnerships with local churches, launch of STEM program, 2020 Blue Ribbon Lower School and much more.

Looking to the future, CCS invites visionary champions to “grow with us!” and prayerfully support the creation of a new high school building, new parking lot, and renovation of the existing campus.   The time has come for CCS to consider not only how far it has come, but how much further it can go with facilities and resources that match the excellence of the school. CCS is eager to see God work in these next steps of the school because all things are possible with Him.

In 1964, Seminole Presbyterian Church established Seminole Presbyterian School with the aim to reach the Tampa community with the message of Christ through education. In 2002, the school grew enough to stand independently from its parent church, becoming The Cambridge School, and finally Cambridge Christian School in 2007.

Success is not merely determined by excellent performance on report cards, the sports field, or concert stage. These are good things, but ultimately, we aim to train and build up confident young people of noble character – character that is marked by faith, integrity, and compassion for others. CCS believes that this character is best nurtured through a Bible-based and Christ-centered education.

Principles of Kingdom Education

Cambridge operates according to a philosophy of kingdom education. This philosophy has been compiled in the book, “Kingdom Education: God’s Plan for Educating Future Generations” by Dr. Glen Schultz. It is the desire of Cambridge to have its School Committee, administration, faculty, staff, and parents to know, understand, and commit themselves to the ten principles found in Kingdom Education. Read the Principles.
