Social Distance & Social Connection
April 16, 2020
This week, James White discusses the implications that social distancing may have on our well-being. Namely, the feeling of loneliness and the disappointment over missing important life events with our friends and family. However, White offers us suggestions “to develop physical distance while at the same time, maintaining our social connections.”
We invite you to listen to James White discuss the importance of kind words and positive, honest communication in nourishing our social connections during these difficult times.
James White is a scholar at the Sagamore Institute and serves the Raleigh/Durham community as Executive Vice-President of Organizational Relations for the YMCA of the Triangle.
