Self-Care & Worthiness
April 30, 2020
This week, James White encourages us to engage in self-care practices in light of COVID-19. However, he reminds us that self-care is not merely eating healthy and exercising. Rather, self-care first “requires knowing that you are worthy of care.” Moreover, it requires us to be careful, to slow down and to think, and to be courageous and truthful with ourselves.
We invite you to listen to James White motivate us to care for our mind, body and spirit, and remind us that we are worthy of such care.
James White is a scholar at the Sagamore Institute and serves the Raleigh/Durham community as Executive Vice-President of Organizational Relations for the YMCA of the Triangle.
